Here is the end of my faith in voting and government. Someone asked privately how it started. Arguably I could start in school, but being real, it was a lot more recent. P.S. I am not a libertarian moron. We do need a government, indeed america is proof of what happens without one.

Basically fundraising from labor was too hard, so they first went after rich “leftists” and that group’s personal hypocrisy provided the Clintons with a template for sounding left and acting right. Basically it’s not possible to be good and wealthy at the same time, and the rich taught the Clintons how to fake it.

It wasn’t until the tail end of the covid years that I really woke up, and even then I still was framing it as a corporate rich people problem, not a bank problem.

It’s a bit sad. I would have got here faster if I hadn’t basically been alone on the planet in this context. I still feel like an alien. People like some of my stuff but it’s not popular or conversation inspiring. It’s all clicked now, from hedonic bedrock to the singularity. But still, it feels like only a tiny minority care, and even they aren’t interested in the full picture. /shrugs
